What must I do to become a volunteer?

Edison Middle School is currently seeking for volunteers.

Volunteers at Edison Middle School can:

  • Provide assistance to teachers in the classroom

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring

  • Provide assistance for small groups of students

  • Provide assistance with technology in the classroom

  • Provide expertise in a subject area, music or band

  • Provide translation or bilingual support

  • Provide office support

What is the senior volunteer program?

Unit 4 Schools, with support from WellCare Health Plans Inc., are piloting a ground-breaking program in the local high schools to bring senior (55 and older) volunteers into the classrooms to assist with the regular classroom teachers with instruction. We are seeking seniors with experience in business, computers, building and technical trades, writing, theater, art, dance, coaching, and other areas.
